Working Week

Monday - Friday 7:30-5:00, 45 hours per week

Introduction

Our family run business located in Marden, Kent was established in 2003 and is based on supplying the highest quality Timber Products. Our main objective is to supply the highest quality materials, we do not believe in compromising on quality or service.

This vacancy requires a proactive and confident team player who is ready and willing to pitch in where required within this small, family run business. It is ideally suited to someone who has good mathematical skills, willing to learn, hard working, has an interest in timber, a good level of fitness, likes working outside and wants to gain hands-on experience working in the timber industry.

Typical duties will include:

• ​Hardwood/Softwood timber selection to customers cutting lists.
• Selection of timber for our machine shop.
• Machine shop labourer.
• Stocking timber into our racks.
• Assisting customers with order collection.
• Assisting in loading and unloading of deliveries.
• Tallying Goods In to ensure no shortages.
• To ensure the premises are kept to a high standard to comply with Health & Safety regulations, maintaining a clean and tidy yard and working area.
• Other general yard maintenance or duties as required.

Requirements and Prospects

• Physically fit.
• Good standard of maths.
• Interest in Timber.
• Own transport would be beneficial due to our location

Future Prospects

• At this time of writing the business sees potential for progression into a Wood Machinist role for the right candidate.

Qualifications Required

• Ideally a minimum of 4 GCSEs C (equivalent to Level 4) and above including Maths
