American Ash
Durability & Density: Non-durable & 670Kg/M³
Colour: White to Greyish Brown with occasional other marks.
Characteristics: Straight grain with fine texture.
Working properties: Fairly hard, machines, works and finishes well.
Uses: Interior Joinery.
Thicknesses available: 25mm, 38mm, 50mm
Steamed Beech
Durability & Density: Non-durable & 700Kg/M³
Colour: Pink to light red.
Characteristics: Straight grain with fine texture.
Working properties: Fairly hard, machines, works and finishes well.
Uses: Interior Joinery.
Thicknesses available: 26mm, 38mm, 52mm
Iroko
Durability & Density: Very durable & 680Kg/M³
Colour: Light yellow to brown.
Characteristics: Interlocked and cross grained.
Working properties: Hard, machines and works fairly well with care, prone to movement if not fixed securely.
Uses: Interior and exterior Joinery.
Thicknesses available: 25mm, 38mm, 50mm, 63mm, 75mm, 100mm
American Hard Maple
Durability & Density: Slightly durable & 740kg/M³
Colour: Creamy white sapwood with reddish brown heartwood.
Characteristics: Straight grained and fine textured.
Working properties: Maple can be hard to work however it can be stained and polished to an excellent finish.
Uses: Furniture, internal joinery, flooring.
Thicknesses available: 32mm
Meranti
Durability & Density: Moderately durable & 710kg/M³
Colour: Reddish brown heartwood with lighter/grey sapwood.
Characteristics: Coarse textured but even with interlocked grain. Meranti can vary greatly as it is not a single specie.
Working properties: The timber works well and is capable of a good smooth surface. It can be glued, nailed and screwed satisfactorily.
Uses: Internal joinery, furniture framing, external joinery (with additional coatings/preservative).

American White Oak
Durability & Density: Durable & 769Kg/M³
Colour: Light to dark brown with pale sapwood apparent.
Characteristics: Fairly straight grained, medium to coarse texture, knot and sapwood fairly common.
Working properties: Machines fairly well, hard, reasonable at screwing and gluing, finishes well.
Uses: Interior Joinery.

European Oak
Durability & Density: Durable & 720Kg/M³
Colour: Mid to deep brown with pale sapwood.
Characteristics: Straight grained, can be more figured than the American and more suitable for exterior use.
Working properties: Hard, machines and finishes well.
Uses: Interior and exterior Joinery.

Sapele
Durability & Density: Moderately Durable & 650Kg/M³
Colour: Red to Brown (Mahogany type).
Characteristics: Moderately interlocked grain with moderately fine texture.
Working properties: Stable, hard, machines and finishes fairly well.
Uses: Interior and exterior Joinery.

Tulipwood
Durability & Density: Non-durable & 449Kg/M³
Colour: Creamy white with yellowy brown and green streaks.
Characteristics: Very plain and grainless.
Working properties: Stable, soft, machines extremely well and finishes superbly with paint / stains.
Uses: Interior Joinery & furniture.

American Black Walnut
Durability & Density: Moderately durable & 609Kg/M³
Colour: Light brown to chocolate brown, occasionally with purple streaks, sapwood very apparent creamy white colouring.
Characteristics: Straight grained but can have fairly attractive wavy grain, sapwood & knots very common.
Working properties: fairly stable, hard, machines and finishes well with care.
Uses: Generally interior Joinery & furniture.
